268,674 people in 194 countries participated in the Great Backyard Bird Count in 2020, identifying 6,942 bird species from around the world.  If you'd like to learn how to participate in this exciting and fun citizen science effort, please join us on February 11th, at 12pm, to learn how to submit your sightings, what birds to expect, and why this project is so important for the birds.  Jay Keck, our very own bird addict, will walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.  It's a fun and eye-opening activity we hope you and your family will participate in this year!

What you will need: Access to a phone or computer with video and sound capabilities as well as a journal for taking notes. Note: If you do not have access to a computer or phone with internet, you may dial-in to the class. You will be able to hear the presentation without the slideshow visuals.

Note: All SCWF zoom classes require registration on zoom. The max capacity is 100 participants. If you cannot attend during this time, please DO NOT register as you will block someone else’s attendance. All classes will be recorded an uploaded to our YouTube Channel.
