Fall Birding - Free Zoom Class!

Join SCWF on Zoom for a free education class!

It’s that time of year again when birds look like leaves and leaves look like birds! Fall migration for many of our Neo-tropical migrants is already happening, but many of the songbirds we love like warblers, tanagers, vireos, and others will be pushing through SC in high numbers from mid-September through October. Since the birds are usually not singing this time of year, we will focus on visual identification, productive birding locations around the state, and techniques that can increase your bird “life-list” this fall! If you missed last year’s fall birding class or if you want a refresher, please join us for a picture packed presentation on our wonderful fall migrants!

What you will need: Access to a phone or computer with video and sound capabilities as well as a journal for taking notes. You do not need a zoom account to participate, we will send you a link with log-in details! Note: If you do not have access to a computer or phone with internet, you may dial-in to the class. You will be able to hear the presentation without the slideshow visuals.

Note: All SCWF zoom classes require registration on zoom. The max capacity is 100 participants. If you cannot attend during this time, please DO NOT register as you will block someone else’s attendance. All classes will be recorded an uploaded to our YouTube Channel.

Did you know you can support wildlife by purchasing a commemorative Federal Duck Stamp?

98% of each $25 stamp purchase goes directly into protecting wetland habitat through conservation easements, leases, and purchasing of critical habitat for the National Wildlife Refuge System. SCWF sells the Duck Stamp to further support protection of wetland habitats - order yours through our website so you can show all your friends how you are conserving wetland habitat!
