WOR reg
Sixteenth Edition of the
WOMEN'S OUTDOOR RECREATION RETREAT
Camp Bob Cooper Summerton, SC
The Women's Outdoor Recreation Retreat is a multi-faceted opportunity to challenge the "woman within you." Nature hikes, kayaking, birding, canoeing, fishing, and many more outdoor adventures can be enjoyed in the company of like-minded ladies in a non-competitive environment. Lake Marion and the surrounding resources of the Santee Cooper Area provide the backdrop for this event.
The Retreat is sponsored by the South Carolina Wildlife Federation in cooperation with several outfitters and organizations including the Sierra Club, United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Adventure Carolina, Nature Adventures Outfitters, the Jimmy Snyder Sailing Club, Fisheagle Tours, Kudzu Kabin Designs, and the Charleston Post and Courier. These partnerships enable us to provide a wide variety of activities conducted by a diverse group of expert instructors. All equipment and supplies will be provided for your convenience.
This year we are pleased to have Rudy Mancke from the USC School for the Environment leading the "Walk on the Wild Side."
A special thank you is due to the numerous individual volunteers who so willingly donate their time to share their knowledge and expertise.
