Looking back over the last year, our company has seen much change.  In September, we had our fourth lay off.  So, it is fair to say that we have only maintained our WAIT projects at this time.  But, employees continue to enjoy the new break area and walking trail.  We recently sighted a baby bear!  Many didn't believe it until the news reported the next day that a baby bear was captured at Jimmy's Restaurant in Easley on Highway 123.

Our Eagle Scout came back this summer and placed learning stations throughout the walking trail, pointing out the species of birds and vegetation at each rest stop.  We are promoting wellness in 2010 and plan to use the walking trail for several employee challenges in the coming year.

Our WAIT team has been greatly affected by the layoffs, so in 2010 we will be rebuilding this team.  The library is still available for the employees to use and the reference books are available to be checked out.  Easley High School is well on its way to completion and our future plan is to partner with their science department and offer our nature trail for possible projects with our input.

All in all, it has been a very difficult year for us, but I know we are not alone in this fight to keep our business going.  We have some of the most dedicated and hard working employess and I believe their determination will allow us to come through a much stronger company.
